Mayor Daley's Fish`N Kids Headquarters at the Northerly Island Visitor’s Center. Saturday's only; starting June 2010
Back in 2010, we've established our Mayor Daley's Fish`N Kids Headquarters at the Northerly Island Visitor's Center, 1700 S. Lynn White Drive.
Saturday mornings can be perfect for learning how to fish our waters. Learn how-to-fish either indoors in bad weather, or in Burnham Harbor when the weather gets good. We supply the rods, reels, bait and Fishing Instructors; no charge (subject to change).
Instruction runs 35-45 minutes from 9:00am - noon. These classes are for families and individual kids (ages 8 and up please), parents and small groups that are unable to learn-to-fish or fish with Mayor Daley's Fish`N`Kids during our Monday - Friday programming in the summer.
It is especially valuable for adults to learn the basics so they might be able to take their kids out and help them enjoy fishing success.
There may be a little fly fishing and fly tying instruction as well.
Call Bob Long, Jr., "The Fishin' Guy!" (312) 742-4969 or Carl Vizzone (312) 735-8997 for more information. Reservations are required. |
