Chicago River Fishing Festival

Lower N. Columbus Drive (301 East)
and Lower East Wacker Drive
Expanded this year to run Monday – Friday, starting June 22 through August 7, 2009. 10:00am – 3:00pm.
Sponsored by Mayor Daley’s Fish`N Kids program of the Chicago Park District, The Cullerton Company and Zebco Rod and Reels, Basa’s Marine of Bolingbrook and Mayor Daley’s Fishing Advisory Committee (Mayor’s Office of Special Events).
Rods, reels, bait and instructors will be provided. No fishing license is required at this location on these days and times. Children, aged 12 and under, have an opportunity to win a new Zebco 33 spincast rod and reel combo via the Bill Cullerton Youth Derby contest.
Boat rides on the Chicago River, courtesy of Basa’s Marine, will also be available on select days (call for those dates)
