You can compete for over $5,000 in cash prizes. All you need is a State of Illinois fishing license. First place wins $100, second place takes home $75, and third place winners receive $50 in each category. That ain’t bad for catching a Coho and King Salmon, Steelhead, Perch, Catfish, Carp or Panfish. Fish caught from Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, Wolf Lake and Chicago Park lagoons all qualify.
